Day 1. Welcome to Dublin!
Welcome to Ireland! Pick up your rental car from the airport, then drive approximately two hours to your first accommodation in Kilkenny. After settling in, start exploring the "Marble City," which gets its name from the black limestone found throughout the city.
Stroll through its picturesque streets and enjoy your first Irish meal, with a pint of Guinness of course.
Check-in - Pembroke Hotel

Day 2. Kilkenny - Limerick
Tour the 12th-century Kilkenny Castle today before driving approximately two hours west to the city of Limerick. Situated on the banks of the River Shannon, Limerick is notable for its beautiful Georgian architecture and cultural institutions.
After checking into your hotel, head to the Milk Market on Cornmarket Row, a food market dating back to 1852. Here you'll discover Limerick's cultural heart and stomach! Consider visiting one of Limerick's esteemed museums next, like Hunt Museum or the Limerick City Gallery of Art.

Kilkenny Castle
This 12th-century castle, remodeled in Victorian times and set in extensive parklands, was the principal seat of the Butler family, Marquesses and Dukes of Ormonde.
Due to major restoration works, the central block now includes a library, drawing room, and bedrooms decorated in 1830's splendor, as well as the beautiful Long Gallery. Pay a visit to the Butler Art Gallery, housed in a suite of former servants’ rooms; here you'll find frequently changing exhibitions of contemporary art.
Day 3. Limerick
Explore the sites around Limerick city today. Consider heading first to Lough Gur, a horseshoe-shaped lake boasting the largest stone circle in Ireland! Pop into the visitor's center to learn more about this mythical site, then stroll around the beautiful lake.
You should also use your included admission to Bunratty Castle, the most complete medieval castle in Ireland!
Bunratty Castle & Folk Park Admission
Be transported to farm life in 19th century Ireland during your visit to Bunratty Folk Park! You will be charmed as you visit the farm houses and cottages and watch the tasks of rural Irish families. Set on 26 acres, this folk park is an uncanny recreation of an old Irish village, down to the furnishing in the shops and homes.
Costumed characters bring the village to life as you watch bakers, policemen, and schoolteachers go about their days. Explore a school, a pub, a grocery story, a hardware store, a post office, and more! For a fun treat, see the baking of the griddle bread next to the fire and be sure to taste it hot with fresh creamery butter.
Also on site is Bunratty Castle, the most complete and authentic medieval fortress in Ireland. Built in 1425 it was restored in 1954 to its former medieval splendor and now contains mainly 15th and 16th century furnishings, tapestries, and works of art which capture the mood of those times. See the best examples of medieval furniture, stroll through walled gardens, and pay close attention to the historical detail that fills the castle.
Day 4. Limerick - Sligo
Say goodbye to Limerick as you drive approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes north to County Sligo. It is said the first settlers in Ireland arrived on the north-west coast in present day County Sligo!
On the way, use your included admission to the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare.

Day 5. Sligo
From your base in County Sligo, you'll be situated along Ireland's famous Wild Atlantic Way, so take time today to explore points on this coastal route. Embark on a thrilling walk along Downpatrick Head, home to stunning stacked sea cliffs and the ruins of a church founded by none other than Saint Patrick.
Before returning to your hotel, enjoy a stroll and a meal in the charming town of Westport nestled along Clew Bay.
Day 6. Sligo - Dublin
Say goodbye to Sligo as you drive approximately two hours and 40 minutes east to Dublin. Upon arrival, drop your luggage and explore the literary gems of the city. A must-see is Trinity College's iconic Long Room, which has served as inspiration for many film sets.
Head to the courtyard of Dublin Castle, where you'll find the Chester Beatty Library - a museum dedicated to the art of the written words with permanent and rotating collections sure to satisfy any bibliophile. At some point today, take advantage of your included whiskey tour and tasting!

Located in the historic Liberties neighborhood, once known as "hell," the Dublin Liberties Distillery is a working craft whiskey distillery in a 300-year-old former mill and tannery. You will be guided through the full production process in this working distillery, culminating at the Tasting Bar with other opportunities to taste along the tour route.
Along with learning how whiskey is made and how it differs from other brands, the tour guides will entertain you with some wonderful stories on characters who lived over many years in The Liberties, the capital's historic heartland.
*The Dublin Liberties Distillery (DLD) will open as a major attraction in Dublin in autumn 2018.
Teeling Whiskey Distillery Visitor Centre - Teeling Tasting
Visit Dublin's first new distillery in over 125 years! The brand new distillery is right back to where it started in 1782 and is only a stone’s throw away from where Walter Teelings old distillery was.
Located in an ancient market square called Newmarket, an area long associated with brewing and distilling, the new distillery is a three copper pot still operation reviving the traditional style of Dublin whiskey distillation.
Since opening in 2015, the distillery has allowed visitors to come see, smell and experience a real operational distillery and interact with the people making Teeling Whiskey.
Day 7. Depart Ireland
Your Ireland vacation ends today. At the appropriate time, drive to Dublin airport, drop off your rental car, and head to your departure gate.
