Day 1. Welcome to Madrid!
Fly into Madrid Airport (MAD), pick up your rental car, and ascend upon your first destination: Segovia! The Old Town of Segovia and its Roman Aqueduct, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, surprises visitors at every turn.
Follow the footsteps of history, from the Alcazar's ancient Roman past to the medieval Church of San Estaban.
Nearby must-sees include the Royal Palace of La Granja de San Ildefonso (18th-century palace and gardens), and Riofrio Palace. Celebrate your first night in Spain with Segovia's most famous local dish: roast suckling pig!
Check-in - Parador de Segovia
Relax in the modern comfort of the Parador de Segovia, nestled in the heart of one of Spain's most historic cities. Day 2. Segovia - Salamanca
Today you’ll move on to Salamanca, whose Old City has been boasting UNESCO World Heritage status since 1988. Start your adventure off at the heart of the city: the 18th-century baroque Plaza Mayor square; it is said that this magnificent plaza was the model for all plazas later built in Spanish cities.
Continue your sightseeing with a stop at the 15th-century Casa de las Conchas (House of Shells), 13th-century Old Cathedral, 16th-century New Cathedral and of course, the stunning university.
In the evening, head to the historical Cafe Novelty, the city's oldest cafe; get on line to try some of their famous ice cream!

You can also explore one of the museums such as the Art Nouveau & Art Deco Museum or the contemporary Domus Artium, housed in a former prison.
Be sure to leave some time today to stop by Calles Zamora for some serious shopping! In the evening, head back to the area around Plaza Mayor and wind down in one of the many tapas bars, followed by a stroll through the city center.

Day 4. Salamanca - Toledo
After breakfast, make your way to Toledo. The historic city of Toledo is a World Heritage Site unto itself, and two millenia of history live within its walls – making it a city which displays significant importance as one of Spain’s most important artistic centers.
All of the civilizations which contributed to the grandeur of Toledo left their amazing masterpieces, in the form of monuments, cathedrals, fortified walls and buildings, and even entire streets. Once you've settled in, make your way to the Mirador del Valle for panoramic views of the city below!

Day 6. Toledo - Madrid
Make the one-hour drive from Toledo to Madrid, where you have the remainder of the day to experience this vibrant capital city. Head to Plaza Mayor, where the city's energy can be felt at every corner. You'll want to explore the Royal Palace, then wind down at Retiro Park.
Time willing, pay a visit to the Museum Triangle, made up of 3 of the city's most famous museums. The Museo del Prado is home to some incredible art work by legends such as El Greco, Goya and Velazquez. Or for those with a taste for surrealism, the Reina Sofia Art Center is home to over 300 modern works by Dali, Miro, and Picasso, among others. A visit to the Museo Centro de Arte to see the Picasso anti-war mural, Guernica, is an absolute must.
