Day 1. Welcome to Rome!
Arrive at the airport where you'll pick up your car and head to the ancient city of Rome. With stunning architecture like the Colosseum and delectable fresh dishes of pasta, Rome is a dream destination you'll never forget.

Day 2. Rome
Ciao! Enjoy your first full day in Rome by treating yourself to a classic Italian breakfast of a sweet cornetti and cappuccino. Then, make your way over to the spectacular Colosseum where epic gladiatorial games once took place. Walk through the ancient ruins and imagine warriors battling to the cheers of crowds and under the eyes of royals.
When you're finished with the Colosseum, walk over to the Roman Forum which was a center for political meetings and markets. Walk through the Forum and see ruins of historic structures like the Temple of Saturn and Arch of Titus. Right above the Forum you'll see the magnificent Palatine Hill, where mythology says is the site where Romulus and Remus — brothers who founded Rome — were raised by a she-wolf. Roam around before departing this incredible city; walk through Rome's cobblestoned streets to see the beautiful Trevi Fountain, and then make your way up the Spanish Steps for a spectacular view of the city. Visit the Pantheon and relax by the Piazza Navona with its three stunning fountains.
Day 3. Rome - Tuscany
Today's your last day in Rome, and you absolutely can't leave without visiting Vatican City. See the glorious Renaissance architecture of St. Peter's Basilica and the impressive art pieces inside from artists like Leonardo Da Vinci and Giotto. Be stunned by the legendary Sistine Chapel, and when you're ready to leave, you'll descend down the Vatican's famous spiral staircase.
When you're ready, drive north through lovely countryside views until you reach your next destination: Tuscany!

Day 4. Tuscany
Spend your first full day in Tuscany by exploring its capital city, Florence. Check out the iconic Duomo in the center of the city, though its massive structure can be seen throughout. Bask in the Tuscan charm as you stroll along the cobblestoned streets, past gorgeous fountains and magical squares. Walk across the medieval bridge Ponte Vecchio and shop around the small stores selling jewels, then feast on Florentine delicacies like Pappardelle Al Ragù.
You can also drive over to the iconic Pisa's Leaning Tower — or the "torre pendente di Pisa" in Italian. Here, you can test the perfect camera angle to picture yourself taller than the askew tower. Right next to the tower is the huge Campo dei Miracoli area, otherwise known as the Field of Miracles. Stare in awe at the magnificent Il Duomo, a massive cathedral renowned for its Italian Gothic sculptures.
Day 5. Tuscany
Perhaps today you'd like to visit Italy's most charming medieval city, Siena. You'll definitely want to check out main city center Il Campo, which is known as one of the greatest medieval squares in Europe. If you're lucky you'll stumble upon one of the city's many events and celebrations, namely the famous Palio horse race. You can also visit the Civic Museum to view astounding Sienese art, or relax by the marble carvings of Fonte Gaia.
Day 6. Tuscany
Explore the quaint hilltop town of Arezzo, a charming city that has historically always drawn artists and poets. Piazza Grande is the main center where you can soak in the views of brilliant Renaissance architecture and medieval towers. The square regularly has antique fairs and staged jousting matches, making you feel like you've truly traveled back in time. Visit the city's oldest church at the Parish Church of St. Mary, and tour the Casa del Vasari where renowned architect/artist Giorgio Vasari lived in the 16the century.
Day 7. Tuscany
It's your last day in Tuscany, so spend it exactly as you wish! Maybe you want to check out the Val d'Orcia with its marvelous rolling hills and green valleys, or perhaps you'd rather take a ferry to the island of Elba. Relish in the island's scenic beauty and go scuba diving off the coasts, then end your night sipping Tuscan wine and chowing down one last dish of pappardelle.
Day 8. Depart Rome
Say one last ciao to Tuscany before departing! Drive back to Rome where you'll head to the airport and drop off your rental car.
