Day 2. Dublin - Killarney
Before leaving Dublin, take a stroll through the city and stop at Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin's oldest building. You should then embark on the cross country drive to Killarney! The journey should take approximately four hours, however you may want to stop along the way.
Upon arrival in Killarney, check into your accommodation then head into town. Pick a restaurant or pub and settle into your first night in Ireland's adventure capital.

Day 3. Killarney
Today, enjoy a guided bus tour of the Ring of Kerry, a 120-mile tourist route on the Iveragh Peninsula. Over the centuries it has been the inspiration of poets and writers because of its magnificent coastal scenery and rugged countryside.

The Iveragh Peninsula - which contains Ireland’s most spectacular mountain road - the Ring of Kerry - is situated in the southwest corner of Ireland. Over the centuries it has been the inspiration of poets and writers because of its magnificent coastal scenery and rugged countryside.
This motorcoach tour allows travelers to share in the history, geography, culture, stories and folklore of the enchanting Ring of Kerry. This is an ideal opportunity for you to forget about the left-hand side of the road for a day and relax in worry-free comfort.
The Ring of Kerry is usually done in a counter-clockwise direction along the banks of the River Laune to Killorglin, via Glenbeigh, Kells, Caherciveen and the southern shores of Dingle Bay. The tour continues to Waterville and along the coast via Coomakista Pass and Derrynane and on to Sneem. From Sneem you travel up the mountain road to Molls Gap, then via Ladies’ View and back to Killarney. In addition to stopping at all points of interest en route you also stop for an hour at lunchtime. In the afternoon a stop will be made for tea/coffee/Guinness/refreshments.
Day 4. Killarney
Why not drive to Cork today? Just one hour and 20 minutes from Killarney, Cork is often considered Ireland's second city. Pick up a few tasty treats at the English Market, a covered market dating back to 1788, then take your goodies to the River Lee and enjoy by the riverfront.
You can then explore the nearby Blarney Castle, Built in 1446 by one of Ireland's greatest chieftains, Cormac MacCarthy, this medieval castle is most famous for its stone, which legend tells has the power of conferring eloquence on all who kiss it.

Blarney Castle was built nearly six hundred years ago by one of Ireland's greatest chieftains, Cormac MacCarthy, and has been attracting attention beyond Munster ever since.
Over the last few hundred years, millions have flocked to Blarney, making it a world landmark and one of Ireland's greatest treasures. Now that might have something to do with the Blarney Stone, the legendary Stone of Eloquence, found at the top of the Tower. Kiss it and you'll never again be lost for words.
Day 5. Killarney
Drive west to the Cliffs of Moher today! These scenic cliffs are one of the most visited sights in Ireland, and for good reason! You'll enjoy sweeping views atop these cliffs that soar up to 702 feet from the coast. Pay close attention to the variety of birds that call the Cliffs home, you may even be able to spot a puffin or two!

See Ireland's most visited sea cliffs; these dramatic cliffs rise over 700 ft above sea level and offer some of the most breathtaking coastal views.
On a clear day, see as far as the Aran Islands! Take a leisurely stroll along the guided path, climb the castle at the top of the hill, or see how many different species of birds you can spot - you may even see a puffin or two!
Bunratty Castle & Folk Park Admission
Be transported to farm life in 19th century Ireland during your visit to Bunratty Folk Park! You will be charmed as you visit the farm houses and cottages and watch the tasks of rural Irish families. Set on 26 acres, this folk park is an uncanny recreation of an old Irish village, down to the furnishing in the shops and homes.
Costumed characters bring the village to life as you watch bakers, policemen, and schoolteachers go about their days. Explore a school, a pub, a grocery story, a hardware store, a post office, and more! For a fun treat, see the baking of the griddle bread next to the fire and be sure to taste it hot with fresh creamery butter.
Also on site is Bunratty Castle, the most complete and authentic medieval fortress in Ireland. Built in 1425 it was restored in 1954 to its former medieval splendor and now contains mainly 15th and 16th century furnishings, tapestries, and works of art which capture the mood of those times. See the best examples of medieval furniture, stroll through walled gardens, and pay close attention to the historical detail that fills the castle.
Day 6. Killarney - County Laois
Say goodbye to Killarney as you drive approximately three hours to the town of Killenard in County Laois. Drop your bags at your hotel, then consider heading to the Slieve Bloom Mountains. Here you'll find trails to suit every ability, not to mention spectacular views stretching across the midlands of Ireland.
Immerse yourself in elegant charm at the 5-star Heritage Killenard in County Laois. As soon as you walk through the hotel's doors, you'll step into a state of pure peace and tranquility.
