Is full payment due at time of booking?
Yes, full payment by credit card is due to complete the transaction and issue airline tickets.
Will I receive travel documents in the mail?
You will receive a follow up e-mail within 5 business days of booking confirmation detailing how to retrieve your Travel Documents.
Do I need an international driver’s license to drive a car in Europe?
Your U.S.-issued driver’s license is all you need in most European countries. Some countries also require you to have an International Driving Permit (IDP). You can get an IDP at your local American Automobile Association office.
Should I purchase car rental insurance?
It’s highly recommended that you protect yourself in the event of auto collision, theft or fire. Aer Lingus Vacation Store offers insurance in the form of a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) for Ireland car rentals, generally at approximately 25% savings compared to published rates.
If you choose to waive the CDW and cannot provide proof of 3rd party coverage the car rental agency may hold a deposit estimated at the value of the car and require that you sign an acceptance of liability form upon renting the car.Frequently Asked Questions

Each traveler’s name must appear exactly as it does on their passport. Names that are not exact may result in the airport or airline refusing you passage. Changes or corrections after booking may incur fees.
Most countries require that your passport is valid for at least six months after your last day visiting that country in order for you to enter. Visa requirements vary by destination, check here to see if your destination requires a visa.

Will I receive travel documents in the mail?
Shortly after completing your booking, you will receive a confirmation email. Full payment by credit card is required at time of booking in order for us to issue a confirmation and book flights.
Your vouchers can be found in the "Travel Voucher" section of your Traveler Portal. Travel vouchers will be available no later than 7 days prior to your departure. If your vouchers are not available or missing required information please contact us for assistance.
