The history of English Afternoon Tea can be dated back as far back as the 1830’s. The tradition was created by the Duchess of Bedford who searched for something to satisfy her late afternoon hunger without spoiling her appetite. Her idea for tea and sandwiches was founded through luck as she watched the fourth Earl of Sandwich place a slice of ham between two slices of bread, thus a modern eating habit was born. This prestigious event has been passed down through generations and so we have Afternoon Tea.

The Afternoon Tea Experience includes a selection of delicious tea finger sandwiches, delectable tea pastries, warm scones served with Irish clotted cream and homemade preserves. Plus unlimited tea and coffee from a exceptional collection from around the world.
